This 55 SS fiberglass vehicle is offered in two basic bodies, drag race and street rod. The car is designed for the nonprofessional builder and much effort is incorporated into the design in order to facilitate assembly. With the chassis being the foundation of any project, this vehicle is offered with three alternates.
The body comes with hung doors and operating trunk. Door windows have glass and power operations. Hood hinges are mounted. The dash panel is installed, less gages and trim. The body is suitable for any combination of motor / transmission installation. The firewall has been located to allow for the installation of a big block. Brake lines, connection hardware and flex lines are available for most combinations of brake and master cylinder applications. The one piece floor pan allows for additional reinforcing, body positioning on the frame, large wheel tubs, flat surface for seat positioning, and enlarged tunnel for transmission flexibility. Front end is available in two platforms. A single piece front-end with removable or hinged hood is available(Shown) . A traditional front-end with stock type fenders, splash pan, and hood is available. A lightweight body is available for drag race vehicles. The body is a shell without floor pan and comes with one-piece front end and pinned hood.
Door fixtures jigs are used to assure proper door alignment with the body. Fixture is also used to cement inner and outer door panels and position window glass and operator. Trunk has finished inner panel and is offered with power opener. Dash is two pieces for ease of instrument installation. Rear wheel opening is enlarged to accept larger tires. The positioning of the frame and the wheel opening allows for multiple wheel and tire size combinations.
